Despite the title-heading, I have not been making fake cakes, but real ones - yes. Well, one very kickass real one in fact, that was made with a lot of love for my best lady friend, The Crow-lady. Anyone who knows her knows that she is in LOVE with The Mighty Boosh (if you're not in the UK, TMB is a very funny comedy show that you must check out immediately).
So, with this fact in mind, for her 20th birthday, I made her this beauty:
The whole thing is edible, not a single thing un-eatable!
(except the foil base it's sitting on - OBVIOUSLY). ;D

I'm really enjoying working in greyscale recently. I've always loved the graceful simplicity captured by black and white photography, and always hoped that I'd be able to simulate the same style in paintwork. I feel like I'm getting closer each time. :) |

Because I think that handmade gifts are always the nicest, and because I'm a student with only moths inhabiting her wallet; I made one of my bestest friends the coolest present ever, if I don't say so myself. I wanted to keep it for myself, haha. :X Presenting, Maul the malevolent. The Carnivorous rice-filled bean-bag alien that's come to lay eggs in our brains... and be so CUTE while doing it. ^_^

I didn't want to have to do this, but due to some flaming I've been receiving over the past couple of days I've had to set the comment settings to registered users only. It's always a shame when one unpleasant person has to ruin it for everyone else. More pictures to be posted in the next few days. :)

As some of you know (or may not know), Rikard and I have been thinking about getting a bunny-rabbit for some time now. Both of us are going to sign up to do volunteer work at our local animal rescue centre, to help out, as they're very short on volunteers, and overcrowded full of animals, but also to give us a bit more experience in dealing with rabbits in particular. :) I don't know if we'll be able to adopt an unwanted bunny from there (they have very strict adoption policies, for good reason, but I don't know if they will allow us to adopt if we're in rented accomodation, and students, at that.) But regardless, I know that we could give a bunny a lovely home, and I hope it all works out.
Of course, in honour of this, I have gone bunny crazy and drawn a few little fluffers;

This little fella' is one of my storybook creations. My computer has been away for repairs for the last few weeks, and he's been very anxious to meet you all.
Pollution makes him sad, so he sends for rain to wash away all of the rubbish.
